# of sessions: one event
possible uses: for all pen pals, for sending holiday greetings, for the opening and closing of all letters and messages, for writing letters and sending pictures to friends (usually of the same age) in your partner congregation. Could also be done at a special table set up at any main-hall several hours church event. Could be incorporated into any RE partnership session. Ruth has used it in her replacement lesson for the “Around the Church, Around the Year” curriculum. Adults and teens enjoy trying to write short letters in Hungarian and are happy to help young children write theirs or add notes to their “picture letters.”
