Tynring is a friendly church community located just 30 minutes from the capital of Meghalaya, Shillong. Most of the church members are farmers and their main crops are ginger, tomatoes and rice.

They run a Unitarian school of 81 students serving village children from kindergarten to class six. This school is crowded and in need of some financial help.

Their contact person is a young woman named Balakynshew, and their church minister is Reverend Derick Pariot who lives in Shillong.
